A \"duv 1942\" marked rifle is a German Karabiner 98k produced by Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabriken (BLM) in 1942. The \"duv\" code represents the manufacturer, while \"42\" indicates the production year.
There are no imports marks on this gun and is likely a WWII bring back. Gun is in great condition with a shiny bore great wood. Serial # 2405 is present on all the serialized parts as well as the German Eagle.
ETA: Base plate on stock has DWC stamp on it. With the Eagle on it. Bolt face is stamped #2277
STOCK IS \"P\" MARKED AND ALSO HAS A FAINT 2405 SERIAL # MARKING IN IT.
LOOKS TO BE A GREAT CONDITION GUN THAT HAS SURVIVED THE LAST 84 YEARS.
