Description:
The Mossberg 500A is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun with a 3-inch chamber and steel receiver. This sporting combo includes a 28-inch vent-rib barrel fitted with a modified choke and front bead sight. The shotgun has a blued finish and features a checkered wood pistol-grip stock and matching forearm. The standard magazine capacity is five rounds. Overall length with the 28-inch barrel is approximately 47½ inches, and the length of pull measures 14 inches.
The action operates on Mossberg’s dual-slide bar system typical of the 500 series. The wood furniture retains its factory hard-rubber recoil pad. The bores on both barrels are described as very good, and the action is noted to be strong.
