The Remington 03-A3 (formally the U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903A3) is a World War II-era bolt-action service rifle. It is a simplified, faster-to-manufacture evolution of the original M1903 Springfield. The 24-inch barrel is the standard military length for this model, adopted because it offered superior handling without sacrificing ballistic performance compared to longer barrels. To speed up production, Remington replaced many milled steel parts with stamped metal components, including the trigger guard, floorplate, and barrel bands. None
