The Winchester Model 70 Classic Sporter chambered in .264 Winchester Magnum is a premium, long-range bolt-action rifle that combines traditional "Pre-64" features with modern enhancements. The 26-inch barrel is critical for this caliber, as it provides the necessary length to reach the high muzzle velocities (exceeding 3,000 fps) that the "Westerner" magnum is famous for. Features the Controlled Round Feed (CRF) with a large Mauser-style claw extractor, which ensures reliable feeding and extraction under any conditions. The barrel is free-floated and features a recessed target crown to protect the rifling and improve accuracy. .264 Winchester Magnum
