Description: The Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 is widely considered the "gold standard" of N-frame revolvers. Produced between 1961 and 1982, the "-2" engineering change is the most iconic version of the Model 27, featuring the classic "pinned and recessed" construction that collectors highly prize. The cylinder chambers are counter-bored (recessed) so the cartridge rims sit flush. This was phased out shortly after the -2 production ended. Built on the same frame as the .44 Magnum, the Model 27-2 is overbuilt for the .357 Magnum cartridge. This mass makes it exceptionally soft-shooting and durable enough to handle a lifetime of heavy "Magnum" loads. The 6-inch barrel provides a long sight radius, making it a favorite for target competition and hunting. .357 Magnum SOLD Chambers: Revolver Metal Condition: High-polish "S&W Royal Blue" in Very Good Condition Relative to Age with Minor Handling Wear Wood Condition: Checkered Grips in Very Good Condition with S&W medallion.
