Description:
This is a very good+ example of a Model 1941 Johnson rifle bayonet complete with original leather scabbard. The bayonet is numbered "2002" on the muzzle ring. It retains the original finish with light surface oxidation and dust. The leather scabbard is in very good condition, leather is supple. It does show some wear and has matured to a rich dark brown color. The stitching is intact, still has the 1 inch wide belt loop, many were cut, this is original. This fantastic historic bayonet most likely served in WWII with the Dutch, indicated by the ring serial number. Blade Length: 7 ½", Overall length: 11 ¾", Scabbard Length: 8 1/2";
