Description:
The Smith & Wesson Model 642-2 Airweight is a double-action revolver chambered in .38 Special and rated for +P ammunition. It uses a concealed-hammer design and holds five rounds in a stainless-steel cylinder. The revolver has a 1.875-inch barrel and a matte finish over its lightweight alloy frame. A black rubber grip provides a secure hold, and the revolver includes a serrated cylinder release and integral frame lock. Sights consist of a fixed front ramp and a rear groove machined into the topstrap.
This 642-2 is used. The bore condition is described as very good, with strong rifling. Metal surfaces show light finish wear and minor handling marks consistent with use. The cylinder displays a drag line from rotation, and powder residue is present on the forcing cone and cylinder face. Grips remain intact and serviceable, showing normal handling wear. The action indexes and locks up properly, consistent with typical operation for this model.
The revolver includes its installed black rubber grip panels and internal frame lock mechanism; no key is included. Serial number is DNR2663. No additional accessories or packaging are specified.
