VERY HIGH CONDITION WINCHESTER 1885 LOWALL U. S./FLAMING BOMB MARKED WINDER MUSKET, .22 SHORT,
#134XXX, MADE 1919. One of the best of these training muskets I’ve seen in a long time, plus this one was a desirable U.S. Government/Military purchase example with clear correct “US” and Flaming Bomb stamping behind the hammer on the upper tang. Retains most of the deep blue on the receiver and lever with only some ageing to brown on the upper tang, good case light color on the breech block, correct Lyman receiver sight, fine deep barrel blue with only the most minor of wear. Exc. wood, tight action and bright minty bore. Would be difficult to improve upon especially as the bores on these are often pitted from the corrosively primed ammo of the day.
