Description:
Winchester Model 1894 manufactured in1962 with a 20" round barrel and chambered in .30-30 Winchester. This example appears to have a Type 3 frame with an approximate 90-degree turn at the transition to the receiver. The top of the barrel and chamber ring are marked with a Winchester proof mark. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number "2525593". The front sight is a hooded blade that is dovetailed to a serrated riser. The rear sight is a U-notch semi buckhorn elevator sight that is dovetailed to the barrel. The full length magazine tube has smooth magazine tube end cap. The hammer is serrated. The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a banded forearm, straight grip, straight comb, and a checkered steel buttplate. The rifle remains in good condition for its age, retaining the majority of its original finish with clear stampings and sharp screw heads. .30-30 Winchester
