"Serial no. 33635. Manufactured in 1942 by Lithgow Small Arms Factory, chambered in .303 British,25"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching, with the magazine unmarked. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, showing honest service wear consistent with wartime use. Australian-produced SMLE rifles from Lithgow are well regarded for their quality and saw extensive service throughout WWII. The rifle is accompanied by a Pattern 1907 bayonet marked “G.R." with leather scabbard. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
