Description:
The Winchester Model 1890 is a pump-action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, featuring a 24-inch octagon barrel and tubular magazine. Manufactured in 1902, this rifle represents the early production configuration with a blued steel receiver and barrel that have aged to a brown patina. The firearm is built with a smooth walnut buttstock and a grooved wooden forearm, paired with a crescent-shaped metal buttplate. Fixed iron sights are mounted on the barrel in the traditional pattern for this model.
This rifle is used. The blued surfaces show age-related finish wear consistent with its manufacture date, and the bore is dark from use and time. A visible crack is present on the underside of the forearm, though the action remains tight when cycled. Overall metal and wood components display uniform patina and handling marks typical of a rifle of this period.
Serial number 140904 confirms 1902 production and qualifies the firearm for Curio & Relic status. No accessories or additional components are included beyond the assembled rifle itself. The configuration remains consistent with standard Winchester 1890 features, including the octagonal barrel, pump-action mechanism, and fixed sights.
