The DWM 1921 (often referred to as a "1920 Commercial" or "1921 Dated" Luger) is a semi-automatic, toggle-locked pistol manufactured during the Weimar Republic era. These pistols were produced by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) both for the commercial market and for newly formed police units following the Treaty of Versailles. The 1921 DWM is highly valued by collectors for its role in the inter-war transition of German small arms, representing some of the last high quality Lugers produced before massive wartime mobilization.
