The Colt M1991A1 (specifically the Government Model) is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 Auto (.45 ACP). Introduced in 1991 as an economical, "bare bones" entry-level version of the classic 1911, it is essentially a Series 80 firing system housed in a frame with military-style features. Includes a lowered ejection port and a "dimpled" feed ramp designed to improve the feeding of modern hollow-point ammunition.
