Description:
A standard military Springfield Model 1898 Rifle with a 30" barrel is the definitive, unaltered full-length infantry version of the famous American Krag–Jørgensen series. Adopted as a transitional firearm between the black-powder era and modern repeating rifles, this rifle served during the Spanish-American War, the Philippine-American War, and the Boxer Rebellion before being replaced by the Springfield 1903. It features a unique side-loading "capsule" magazine. To load the rifle, a hinged steel gate on the right side of the receiver is flipped open. Up to 5 loose cartridges are dropped in without the need for a stripper clip, and closing the door pushes them into line. None
