Description:
A standard military Remington 03-A3 bolt-action rifle originally features a 24" barrel. If you are looking at a Remington 03-A3 with a 22" barrel, you are looking at a highly modified civilian firearm often referred to as a "sporterized" rifle. Following World War II, thousands of these surplus military rifles were sold cheaply to the public. Gunsmiths and hunters frequently cut down the original 24" military barrels to 22" or less to create lighter, more maneuverable hunting rifles for the field. None
