Description:
Both are all original Giles in every way; a 38 special conversion and a 45, and both in very lightly used, excellent condition.
I function checked both with the included mags and they are both 100% reliable.
I know nothing about the "Robert Blum" test target but the date is within eleven days of the Giles test so perhaps this was the original customer.
I also don't know anything about their histories. I bought them both from an old highpower shooter who bought them many years ago nearly unused (his words) and put them in a safe until I picked them up from him so we may have a very minimally used pair. Please use the photos for condition.
Only the 38 has the classic weld bead inside the slide. John apparently had no need to get the 45 to shoot sub 1.5 inch groups without needing this feature. There are plenty of other classic Giles features to salivate over. Both slides hav e zero play as one would expect.
Condition beneath the grips is excellent. No oxidation anywhere.
45 will have one mag and 38 will have three.

I have never come across a signed test target. Jon's original catalog claims that his 50 yd groups with his conversions is even smaller than his 45 builds.
I had a notion to go to irons. It didn't last. Bought these and after confirming function, put them in my safe.
