Offered for sale is a well built and attractive traditional percussion rifle, manufactured in Japan during the mid-to-late 20th century black powder revival period. These rifles are known for their solid construction and reliable performance, making them excellent shooters for both the range and the field.
This example features a 42” octagon barrel and is chambered in .45 caliber. The barrel is marked “Black Powder Only” and “Made in Japan,” consistent with quality import rifles of this era.
The rifle is equipped with double set triggers, allowing for a crisp, light trigger pull when engaged. The lock operates as it should, and the rifle appears mechanically sound.
The stock is made from nicely figured walnut, showing strong grain and character throughout. Brass furniture complements the traditional halfn stock plains rifle design. The wood shows light handling marks consistent with normal use but remains very presentable overall.
The metal surfaces show an even, aged patina with no signs of abuse. Overall, this is a clean, honest example of a traditional black powder rifle.
