Offered for sale is an attractive flintlock pistol built using a period style lock and later custom stock, resulting in a visually striking example of early firearm design with strong display appeal.
This pistol features a true flintlock ignition system with traditional hammer (cock), frizzen, and pan configuration. The lock is engraved in a classic period style and remains mechanically complete.
The stock is fitted with a beautifully figured piece of wood exhibiting strong tiger stripe / fiddleback grain, finished to a smooth, glossy appearance. Brass trigger guard and fittings complement the overall aesthetic, giving the pistol a refined and eye catching presence.
While incorporating antique components, this pistol appears to have been restocked or refurbished at a later time, making it best suited as a decorative, collector, or display piece rather than a strictly original historical example.
Very good overall condition. The lock appears complete. Metal surfaces show light patina. The stock is in excellent condition with minimal wear and a high-quality finish.
