this Luger was Manufactured by DWM,9mm, chamber is stamped with the "RP/Anchor" found on the Lugers manufactured for the Republic of Portugal Navy contract. This pistol is pictured and thoroughly described on pages 680-681 in the 3-volume set "The Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols" by Joachim Gortz & Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess,This pistol is said that it was manufactured the year after the Portuguese Navy contract had already been delivered.Why it was marked with the R.P./Anchor marking is anyones guess,it is possible that it was sent to the Portuguese Navy as a replacement for one of the earlier contract pistols. This pistol appears to be all original and all serial numbered parts are matching. There are no import markings.The bore has good rifling and has some pittinges with three Portuguese marked (triangle inside a small circle) magazines,a takedown tool and a Portuguese Navy pattern holster and a double magazine pouch.this is a nice rig and very Rare indeed. $2250.00 + $40.00 shipping
