This example was manufactured in 1904 and represents the early takedown configuration typical of the model. The rifle has a blued metal finish, a smooth wood pistol-grip stock, and a grooved wooden forearm. It is fitted with an adjustable rear sight and a factory crescent metal buttplate consistent with the period design. This Model 90 is used. The bore condition is described as very good, showing strong rifling and clean interior surfaces. The action operates through a manual pump mechanism designed for rimfire cartridges, characteristic of Winchester’s early repeating rifles. The blued finish shows uniform coloration with typical age-appropriate handling wear, and the wood components display a natural patina consistent with long-term preservation. Included with the rifle are its original wood stock and forearm assembly, the 24-inch octagon barrel, and the fixed and adjustable sight components. The takedown feature allows the barrel and receiver to be separated for maintenance or transport. Serial number 210276 is stamped on the receiver, confirming 1904 production. The firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic under federal classification due to its age and historical manufacture date.
