Description:
The Smith & Wesson Victory Model built for the British Commonwealth is a historically significant, medium-framed (K-frame) service revolver. Produced in massive quantities between 1940 and 1945, these wheel guns were sent to the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to fulfill desperate small arms shortages during World War I. To simplify record-keeping during wartime production, Smith & Wesson began prefixing serial numbers with the letter "V" (for Victory) starting in 1942. NOT A .38 SPECIAL .38 S&W
