The Browning Auto-5 (A5) Magnum 12 with a 31.5-inch barrel is a classic long-recoil semi-automatic shotgun specifically built for heavy-duty waterfowl and goose hunting. While often referred to as having a 32-inch barrel, the actual measurement is frequently 31.5 inches due to metric conversions for Belgian-made models. 3-inch Magnum, though it can typically cycle 2 ¾-inch heavy field loads. The high, squared-off rear of the receiver allows for a long, flat sighting plane that aligns naturally with the eye. Models produced by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium (pre-1976) are highly prized for their steel quality. Recoil System Tuning features a system of friction rings and springs that must be properly arranged based on whether you are shooting light or heavy magnum loads. 12 Gauge
