Description:
The Taurus PT-1911 is a full-size Government model 1911 pistol chambered in .45 ACP with an 8+1 round capacity. Built on a steel frame with 5" barrel, this traditional single-action pistol weighs approximately 38 ounces unloaded. The PT-1911 comes with a range of premium features typically found on custom 1911s, including Novak-style low-profile three-dot sights, extended beavertail grip safety with memory bump, and skeletonized trigger with adjustable overtravel stop. Key features include front and rear slide serrations, ambidextrous manual safety levers, extended magazine release, and checkered mainspring housing. The pistol incorporates Series 80-style firing pin safety system, along with traditional 1911 controls. The hammer is skeletonized for faster cycling, while the full-length guide rod adds weight for recoil management. Custom-grade features include a polished feed ramp and barrel, lowered and flared ejection port, and beveled magazine well for faster reloads. Available in blued or stainless steel finishes, the PT-1911 features Magpul Grips and match-grade barrel. The pistol maintains standard 1911 parts compatibility while offering enhanced features at a competitive price point.
