"Serial no. 1309859. Manufactured in 1929 by Springfield Armory, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “S.A./Flaming Bomb/3-29." The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The stock has been lightly sanded at some point, with a faint “R.A.-P" cartouche still visible on the left side. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, showing light handling wear consistent with service use. The Model 1903 continued to serve as a primary U.S. service rifle through the interwar period and into WWII, often undergoing refurbishment and reissue. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
