32912- SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR .45-70 CAL. RIFLE. All original and in excellent plus to fine condition. Nice markings with lock stamped “EAGLE/U.S./SPRINGFIELD”. Breech block stamped “U.S./MODEL/1884”. Barrel Ordnance proofed “V/P/EAGLE HEAD” and with “A” and “P” sub-inspection stamps. Excellent 90% plus original blue with light handling patina. Stock with the original finish with light wear and a few minor dings. Working order and good bore with good sharp rifling. Excellent screws which are all original. Original swivels and cleaning rod. Original bayonet with crisp “US” stamp and most of the original blue. $900.
