33090- WAR OF 1812 STILLMAN U.S. MODEL 1808 FLINTLOCK MUSKET DATED 1812. Exceptional rare Federal Contract by Ethan Stillman of Burlington, Connecticut with only 1885 muskets delivered and this one is certainly one of the best examples known. 42” smoothbore .69 cal. barrel with left side at breech stamped clearly “US/CIRCLED EAGLE/CT PROOF/V”. Lock stamped “1812” and “US/EAGLE/STILLMAN”. Stock side panel with perfect Ordnance cartouche. Complete and all original with much of the original brown finish evenly mixed with patina overall. Stock with all the original finish with nice handling patina as well and with nice crisp edges about the lock mortice and side panel. All original screws in excellent plus condition. Crisp markings. Original sling swivels and ramrod. Lock with all the original parts and in perfect working order. Very good bore. Extra nice and very scarce. $3500.
