Very few of these sightless .338s were ever made and this one is absolutely genuine. No filling of barrel dovetail, no sweating off front ramp, and no rebluing.
S/N 475342 with matching scribed bolt made in 1960, the first year that the 338 was actually cataloged.
Beautiful condition throughout showing 98-99% original finishes. All correct components of sights, hood, swivels, etc.
25" barrel with an excellent, shiny bore. All mechanical functions are smooth and proper.
Original soft rubber recoil pad as issued on all of this caliber.
Insides are spotless with correctly stamped short magnum recoil lug. (458)
An outstanding and very difficult to find rifle.
