"Serial no. 4446765. Manufactured circa 1953–1954 by International Harvester, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “LMR D6535448 5-55 A42." The bore exhibits a mirror-bright finish with strong, well-defined rifling throughout. The bolt is marked “D6528287 IHC," and the receiver is stamped “IHC D6528291-A." The cut operating rod is correctly marked “6535382 IHC." The trigger group and internal components are properly stamped IHC, indicating a strong degree of originality and correctness. The stock remains in good condition, showing a Department of Defense cartouche along with a circle “P" proof mark. International Harvester Garands are among the more desirable post-war production variants due to their comparatively limited production and use of subcontracted components such as Line Material Corporation barrels. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly, representing a fine and correct example of an IHC M1 Garand.
