"Serial no. AK2901. Manufactured in 1941 at Tula Arsenal, chambered in 7.62x54R,27"" round barrel. The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching on the stock, bolt, and trigger guard. The left side of the receiver is marked “SA," indicating Finnish Army capture and property marking. The rifle is equipped with a PU sniper scope dated 1941, serial no. 39645, with clear optics. The stock shows expected service impressions and notably lacks signs of post-war refurbishment, adding to its authenticity. It is also noteworthy that the rifle is not import marked. Finnish-captured SVT-40 rifles are scarce, particularly in sniper configuration, as Finland often reissued captured Soviet arms during the Continuation War. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly. Overall, a very attractive and desirable example of an SVT-40 sniper in Finnish service configuration.
