Description:
J.P. Sauer & Shon custom Germanic Stalking rifle, circa 1920’s in the proven 9.3mm x 62 caliber.  This rifle is early commercial Mauser action made and sold to settlers leaving for South Africa to homestead, (Aka "Afrikaner") They needed a large a caliber rifle for hunting and protection, so German gunsmiths re-barreled the proven K98 Mausers action for plains game with a cartridge about equal to 35 Whelen.   Comes with double set trigger, lever floor plate, Hex to round barrel with solid rib, adjustable rear sight, Leupold scope base, and Nikon 3x9 scope.  Some extra checkering and dressed up screw heads.  I reload and shoot Speer HotCor 276 gr. Soft points 2,200 fps =3,000 flbs. and it will print a one hole 3 shot group at 25 yrds (limit of my range).  As to condition 1-10,  Overall 9.5, bore 9, wood 9, metal 8, function 10.  The only deduction would be the horn butt plate; some lose due to hungry beetles.  If you are a shooter, dies, brass, bullets all available and brass can be made from 30:06 brass.  I never made it to Africa, … maybe you will.
