Notes:
For sale is a classic Italian Carcano bolt-action rifle manufactured by the R.E. Terni (Royal Army Arsenal at Terni, Italy). Markings clearly show TERNI and 1936 XIV (Fascist year dating, corresponding to 1936 production), along with other Italian proof marks and arsenal stamps.
This appears to be a Moschetto (carbine/short rifle) variant, likely a M91 TS (Truppe Speciali) or M91/24 style with the characteristic shorter barrel, folding bayonet lug (transverse style visible in photos), adjustable rear sight, and military stock. These were widely issued to Italian forces in WWII and earlier conflicts. Chambered in the iconic 6.5x52mm Carcano cartridge.
Key Features & Condition:
Stock: Nice walnut stock with original-style checkering on the pistol grip and forend. Features attractive wood grain, some handling marks, dings, and light wear consistent with age and military use. Includes a carved buttplate with lattice pattern and sling swivels.
Metal: Blued barrel and receiver with visible patina, honest wear, and some surface oxidation. Bolt, trigger guard, and fittings are intact. Smooth bolt operation.
Sights: Standard Carcano rear ladder sight with front blade.
Overall: Solid shooter or collector piece. Shows typical honest military wear but no major damage, cracks, or abuse visible. Bore condition not personally inspected but appears serviceable based on photos.
Accessories: Includes a couple of stripper clips/en-bloc style magazines shown in images.
