Description:
This Remington rolling block rifle was built with original antique military receiver and sporter barrel. Stocks are more modern. It is chambered in .40-50 Straight Sharps (cases made from .30-40 Krag or .303 British). It has a 32" half octagon half round barrel with bright bore. Some scattered light pitting. Underside stamped .40 1 7/8. Rifle sports barrel sights and a 32" TASCO 4X15 brass scope with clear optics. Rear mount held with screws. Front mount appears to be soldered in place. Walnut stocks are modern. Front has a Schnabel tip. Buttstock has curious custom heel and buttplate. LOP is 13". Rifle weighs 11.25 lbs. Action is tight and crisp. $1450 + Shipping.
