Description:
The Remington Model 700 was designed by Mike Walker and introduced in 1962 as a refined version of the Model 721 and 722. This rifle was built to be more accurate and more cost-effective than some of the competitors. The Model 700 comes equipped with the "three rings of steel" design, encasing the cartridge head in the bolt, barrel, and receiver, making this rifle a very strong choice for high pressure cartridges. Featuring a 28-inch barrel with flash hider and a checkered wood stock. The very first rifle to be chambered in 7mm STW was a custom-built Model 700 assembled by renowned gunsmith Kenny Jarrett in 1987. This Model 700 is in fair condition. The stock has various scratches and marks along the surface with some damage. There is a broken edge of the stock near the rear of the bolt/receiver on the right side, and a few good-sized scuff marks on the left side of the forend. The metal barrel and receiver are in good condition with some scratches and marks from usage but no major damage.
