The Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman is a double- and single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. It features a six-round capacity and a 6-inch barrel. The frame and barrel have a blued finish, and the revolver is built on a steel frame. The grips are brown checkered wood with Smith & Wesson medallions, complementing the overall configuration typical of the Highway Patrolman series. This model was designed as a heavy-duty variant of the company’s N-frame line and shares mechanical characteristics with the Model 27, differing primarily in finish and surface treatment.
