Up for sale is a rare Marlin 1895S chambered in .45-70 Government. This rifle is JM marked, confirming original North Haven Marlin manufacture and making it highly desirable among collectors and lever-action enthusiasts.
Mechanically, the rifle is in very good condition with a smooth action, solid lockup, and clean functioning overall. The bore is in good shape and the rifle operates as it should.
Cosmetically, the wood furniture shows scratches, dings, and handling marks from normal field use, all visible in the photos. There are no major structural issues with the stock or forend. Bluing remains good overall.
This is a solid shooter, hunting rifle, or collectible JM Marlin that’s becoming increasingly difficult to find.
