The wood stock exhibits handling marks, dings, and finish wear throughout, while the metal surfaces show honest wear consistent with service use. This rifle appears to be a Mosin-Nagant pattern service rifle, originally developed by the Russian Empire in the late 19th century and widely used through both World Wars. Produced in large numbers, these rifles became one of the most common military arms of the 20th century, valued for their durability and simplicity.
