Description:
Kimber Valier Grade 1 in 20 Gauge. A light, lively and properly scaled bird gun, the Valier features a traditional Holland & Holland style 7-pin removable sidelock action. It has traditional double triggers (w/ articulated front) and an English straight grip stock. The 28 inch chopper lump barrels are finished with a beautiful Belgium rust blue, are fixed choke to Cyl/IC, and are topped with a solid matted rib. The barrels are very balanced by a straight grip stock with nicely figured Turkish walnut. The walnut is traditionally finished with oil and is finely hand checkered to 24 lines-per-inch. The forend is a classic splinter profile with Deely latch.
The action is lightly engraved with bone and charcoal case hardening and includes gold-lined cocking indicators. It is chambered for up to 3 inch shotshells and is chrome lined for use with steel shot. This double is in excellent condition and was lightly hunted with and very well cared for. There are no cracks, dings or dents and only very minor handling marks. The gun functions perfectly, great triggers and a solid lock up with well fitted barrels. The stock was shortened from 14.75 to 14.50 inches to accomodate my heavy hunting jacket and a rubber pad added to protect the butt. The original checkered butt is provided should one wish to add LOP. The original owners manual and velvet sleeves are included. See picture for specifications to fit.
