Description:
The Nagoya Arsenal Nambu Type 14 is a Japanese semi-automatic pistol chambered in 8mm Nambu, produced in 1943. It features a 4-inch barrel, steel frame with black finish, and brown grooved wood grips. The design includes fixed sights and an 8-round detachable magazine. Markings on the right side identify it as a first-series Nagoya production bearing the Kanji character “sho,” corresponding to manufacture during the Emperor Hirohito era.

The left side of the frame carries the four-character designation “Ju-yon-nen-Shiki,” translating to “Type 14.” The pistol’s mechanical layout follows the standard late-war configuration with a side-mounted safety lever. This Type 14 is used and dated to September 1943, aligning with mid-war production characteristics. The bore condition is described as very good, showing clear rifling and shine consistent with proper maintenance over time.

Included is one 8-round magazine compatible with the 8mm Nambu cartridge. The pistol qualifies as a Curio & Relic (C&R) firearm based on its 1943 manufacture date and historical classification. No additional accessories or packaging are specified. Overall, the piece reflects the wartime production standards of the Nagoya Arsenal and retains its original military markings and configuration.
