Description:
The Savage Edge is a budget-friendly, bolt-action hunting rifle that was later rebranded as the Savage Axis. Chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a 22" barrel it was designed to provide Savage's signature accuracy at a highly competitive price point by using a unique action and stock system. Savage originally launched this rifle as the "Edge" in 2010 but changed the name to "Axis" roughly a year later due to a trademark conflict; the rifles are mechanically identical. Because of its lightweight synthetic stock and powerful .30-06 chambering, users often report felt recoil compared to heavier wood-stocked rifles. .30-06
