Description:
The Weatherby Orion Over/Under Shotgun is a traditional boxlock over-and-under with a solid steel receiver. The receiver's low profile enhances point-ability, while directing recoil straight back to the shooter's shoulder, instead of the cheek, for rapid second shots. The safety/barrel selector switch is positioned on the tang where it is readily accessible with the thumb of either hand. Hard chromed-lined bores and Weatherby's screw-in choke tubes minimize pellet deformation and deliver dense, consistently uniform patterns. Automatic ejectors throw empty hulls clear of gun for fast reloading. A vent-rib with a single brass bead front sight allows instant target acquisition with a fluid swing and follow through. The Orion comes with a Grade A walnut buttstock with a sleek Prince of Whales checkered pistol grip, and checkered forend. Comes with 2 screw-in choke tubes (IC, C). The beautifully finished Weatherby Orion I Over/Under Shotgun balances superbly and shoulders instantly making it a fantastic all-round shotgun for upland birds to sporting clays and everything in between.
