Description:
The Universal M1 Carbine is a lightweight, semi-automatic rifle chambered in the .30M1 (7.62×33mm) cartridge. Produced by Universal Firearms from the 1960s through the 1980s, it replicates the outward look of the classic military M1 Carbine but features a proprietary internal design that is not compatible with authentic U.S. GI parts. Because the internal mechanism is significantly different from World War II-era models, the Universal M1 Carbine is generally treated as a distinct civilian hybrid rather than an authentic military surplus firearm.
