Description:
Remington 722 chambered in .300 Savage. This is the first truly modern centerfire rifle with the strongest bolt ever developed. It is a short action version of Model 721. The 722 was made from 1948 to 1962. It uses a rotating bolt with two lugs, a round receiver design for lighter machining. The barrel length is 24 inches, and the magazine holds four rounds. The rifle was drilled and tapped from the factory for scope mounts, and it features a walnut sporting stock. The Model 722 is valued today both as a functional hunting rifle and a collectible piece of firearms history. No box. .300 Savage
