Description:
AYA Augusta Deluxe O/U Sidelock Ejector Single 12 Gauge. This game gun is a 2-barrel set and case. It is chambered for 2 3/4 shells. Both 26" demi bloc barrel sets are fitted with low matted ventilated ribs and gold inlaid "1" & "2". Both sides of the ejector housing are engraved with the maker's name and address and deep relief carved with large open ls very fine. shaded scroll. Sides of top left barrels are marked with importer's (Cyril Adams) info. Bottom barrels are stamped with Spanish nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers (no date code is found). Coin finished double Kirsten sidelock O/U action features non automatic safety, detachable side locks with hidden cover, gold plated internals, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators and single selective trigger. Action and lockplates are engraved with exceptionally well cut and shaded dramatic varying size open scroll with some floral and acanthus highlights. Maker's name is in arch on bottom of action. Well streaked and finely fiddle figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 15 7/8" over checkered wood butt and features chin strap transition to grip, multi point pattern grip checkering and gold oval engraved "DRS". Matching, three-piece ejector forend with Deeley release serves both barrel sets. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: #1 Bore Diameter: O .726. U .726. Restriction: O .025.(Mod). U .006 (IC). BBLS: #2 Bore Diameter: O .725. U .724. Restriction: O .044 (Extra Full). U .026 (Mod). STOCK: DAH: 3". DAC: 1 3/4-". The Cast is about 1/2" off. The LOP is 15 7/8". The weight is 8 lbs. The gun comes in its original tan leather case with stitched leather corners lined in green felt. A black AYA label is in lid. The case is configured for gun and both barrel sets and contains a brown paper bag (numbered to gun) with spare main springs, ejector springs, top lever spring and strikers. The condition is exceptionally fine. Appears essentially "as new" with only a very few handling and assembly marks in all fine factory finishes. Mechanically crisp. The case is a. 12 Gauge
