Offered here is an exceptionally desirable and highly attractive Browning Superposed Superlight 20 gauge over/under shotgun, featuring a factory scroll engraved receiver, English straight grip stock, and beautifully figured walnut throughout. This is an elegant upland configuration that combines the handling characteristics the Superlight models are known for with upgraded aesthetics rarely encountered on these lightweight guns.
Built on Browning’s legendary Superposed platform, this example features 26 1/2” ventilated rib barrels chambered for 2 3/4” shells with fixed IC/MOD chokes, making it an ideal fast-handling bird gun for quail, grouse, woodcock, or preserve shooting. The gun balances and carries exactly as a true Superlight should, weighing an impressive 5 lbs. 10 ozs.
What truly separates this gun from standard Superlight examples is the factory engraved receiver paired with exceptional walnut. Most Superlight guns were built as relatively plain field guns, but this example presents with a far more refined and sophisticated appearance while still maintaining the lightweight upland personality collectors and shooters seek.

Condition of the gun is excellent overall, showing beautifully throughout with strong original finish, sharp checkering, excellent wood to metal fit, and highly figured walnut that gives the gun tremendous visual appeal. The engraving remains crisp and attractive, complementing the elegant lines of the Superlight configuration perfectly.
Finding a Superposed Superlight in this configuration-with the engraved receiver, straight grip, exceptional walnut, and lightweight 20 gauge setup-is increasingly difficult, especially in this level of condition.
