The FN Five-seveN is a full-sized, semi-automatic pistol designed around the 5.7x28mm cartridge. It is characterized by its lightweight construction, high magazine capacity, and low recoil profile. The pistol utilizes a polymer-covered steel slide and a polymer frame to reduce weight and enhance resistance to corrosion. The 5.7x28mm cartridge is a bottle-necked round that offers a flat trajectory and high velocity compared to traditional handgun calibers.
