Description:
The Remington Model 552 Speedmaster configured with a 21-inch barrel is a classic, American-made semi-automatic rimfire rifle. First introduced in 1957, its defining mechanical feature is the ability to automatically cycle .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges interchangeably and even mixed within the same magazine without requiring any adjustments. The Remington floating chamber system reacts dynamically to different pressure levels. This allows the lighter impulse of a .22 Short to cycle the bolt just as reliably as a full-power .22 LR. Unlike most semi-auto rimfire rifles, the 552 features a low-profile charging handle on the left side of the receiver. Modern and late-production 21-inch models feature a walnut stock treated with a high-gloss finish. It incorporates traditional Fleur-de-Lis checkering along the forearm and pistol grip, a black grip cap, and a matching black buttplate. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle
