Description:
Ruger's No 1 is Bill Ruger's contribution to the world of "fair chase" sportsmen with a look back to the great single shot rifles of the 1800s. This one is chambered for .405 Winchester, one of Teddy Roosevelt's favorites. With a delivered energy of 3200 ft-lb, it is a potent cartridge. Though not recommended, it has been used by some hardy souls to take rhino and elephant. This one is set up as a safari rifle with the Alex Henry grooved forend to rope into a gun rack.
