Description:
The O.F. Mossberg & Sons Brownie is a compact four-shot pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle. It uses a rotating firing pin mechanism to sequentially fire from its four fixed barrels, each measuring approximately 2.5 inches in length. The design features a break-open action for loading and unloading, with a steel construction and a bare steel metal finish typical of early production models. The frame is fitted with brown checkered grips that provide a secure hold on the small frame.
This Brownie is used and configured with the standard four-round capacity. The action is described as fully functional, and the bores are in very good condition. The pistol’s compact size and unique barrel cluster design reflect its early 20th-century pocket-pistol origins. Serial number 11355 is stamped on the frame, consistent with Mossberg’s early production sequence for this model. The overall configuration remains consistent with original factory specifications, including the manually operated rotating firing pin assembly.
