The SIG SAUER CROSS chambered in .308 Winchester with a 16-inch barrel is a lightweight, hybrid bolt-action rifle designed to bridge the gap between a precision long-range competition rifle and a backcountry hunting platform. Weighing in at just 6.5 pounds, it is engineered for high mobility without sacrificing the stability required for long-distance accuracy.: Unlike traditional chassis systems that clamp onto a standard receiver, the CROSS uses a unified, one-piece aluminum receiver. This layout eliminates the need for bedding, significantly increasing rigidity and structural consistency. Equipped with a full-length 20-MOA top Picatinny rail for optics and an alloy M-LOK handguard for mounting bipods, tripods, or night-vision accessories. The combination of a short 16-inch stainless steel barrel and a folding stock makes this specific model optimal for thick brush hunting, backcountry hiking, and shooting out of confined blinds.
