"Serial no. 46713. Manufactured circa 1952–1956 in Yugoslavia, chambered in 8mm Mauser,23 ½"" round barrel. The bore is good with light frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and well defined. The metal finish has thinned to a smooth grey patina, while the Yugoslav crest remains sharp on the receiver. The stock shows expected handling impressions consistent with military service and storage use. The M48A was a post-war Yugoslav Mauser-pattern service rifle based on the German K98k design, produced for the Yugoslav military during the early Cold War era. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
